| This is going to be a crappy update, and I know I don't update enough, but the next time I update, I will put up pictures from China; and for all who don't know, I'm studying abroad in Beijing right now so if anyone of you are coming to China, let me know. Also, I have recently installed a new version of windows into my computer, and now everything is in Chinese. I can't read it so we have a big problem. Anyone willing to maybe send an english windows cd to me? Let me know. | | |
| This weekend was Tax Free weekend so on Sunday, my mom, my brother, and
I went to the Best Buy to buy stuff.. ( because whats the point of
buying clothes, they normally aren't taxed on anyways.. ) Well just as
we pulled into the parking lot of Best Buy, it started pouring... and
so we ran quickly in.
While inside, you could hear the heavy rain and also the thunder that
was going on. So like 20 mins into shopping, the lights went out. You
could hear cheers from the customers.. which made no sense to me...
it's not like they can steal anything. The back up lights came on and
everyone was shopping and going on in their happy lives. You could see
the rain coming down.. pouring like crazy.
They finally got the lights to come back on.. and within 10 mins, it
went out again. It was horrible because we were ready with our
selection and we couldn't pay for it because the computers were out.
After another half and hour or so.. we finally get everything set. As we were leaving hte parking lot, there was a dip and there was soo
much water there. If my car was stuck there because of hte lights, it
probably wouldn't ahve worked by now. The water came up to my car like
half way... and there was actually a car that was stuck in that mess.
It was horrible.
The same thing happened on the high way.. 5 lanes turned into one lane.
because of a dip and one side, hte water was lower then the rest. Man
it was horrible.
Other than that... it was a nice weekend. I went to Emily's farewell
party.. man.. lucky her, going to USC. I wish her the best of luck
there, and hopefully I will be able to visit her sometime. Actually
that night it was thundering also. Luckily, when I got into my car it
started pouring so lets just say I had good timing. I was hoping that on Monday it was going to rain just as bad so that no
one would go out and go shopping... haha I'm a bad employee. Well I
have a week and a half left. So come visit me if you guys want. Mon-Fri
10-8. I work till the 26. So stop by anytime.
**edit** Wed. 8/17/05 3:33 A.M.
I just finished reading Harry Potter, the most recent one. From many
people I was told that someone close was going to die. I wasn't sure
who. From two of my friends they said it was going to be Ron (but I
found out from my friend that that was a lie). It wouldn't make sense
if he died... what would be the point? But I didn't expect it to be
this certain character. But looking at clues it did sortof make sense.
All I know is that when I was reading it, I was just crying throughout
the last part. Did no one else who read it also felt that way?
Maybe the only reason why it upsetted me so much was because I had a
really bad nightmare last night... and it involved death. I guess
having that bad dream just on Mon/Tues night kinda made my emotions
even more crazied. Ehhh.... I can't believe that that happened.. and to
that person of all people. All I can say is that I cried starting
595-6. Call me pathetic, call me stupid, but all I know is that it
caught me off guard. Eh... HURRY UP AND COME OUT WITH THE SEVENTH BOOK
SO I CAN FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS!

| Only Me.
On Saturday, I went over to my friend Herb's house to play Texas
Hold'em. When I first got there, I weighed myself on the scale and it
said that I weighed 95 pounds. ( I know that thats skinny... too
skinny.. anyways,) While playing cards, I grabbed a Snickers ice cream
bar and ate it. We finished our game in an hour and a half or so, and
then we were getting ready to leave. I weighed myself again ( and heres
the great part ) I weighed 94. How the hell am I to lose a pound by
eating ice cream and just sitting there? Oh well... only does that
happen to me.

| I had a good July 4th. On Friday, I went up to Amherst to visit Justin
and my friends. (yes.. I have friends... surprisingly) I got there
around 8:20 p.m. and Justin picked me up with Wings at hand. In case
people don't know what Wings is... Wings is this wonderful place that
has at least 10 different flavors of chicken wings. You can get them
for a very decent price too.
Well after we finished eating, Bary and Doug came over and we just
watched tv for a bit. Man it was nice to have cable again. I missed
cable; expecially to watch shows like Best Week Ever and What Not to
Wear. Every one must have been hungry b/c we ended up making "Jai Jong
Mein", korean food. Doug made it since he offered... and plus, he was
the only Korean.
On Saturday, I woke up at 9:30, and then went back to bed; woke up at
12, and then went back to sleep; only at 2 did i truly get up... and
watch tv. Bary called me about that time and so me, Justin, and Doug went
to his house and I got to see Bary's fat cats. I guess that I was
allergic to them because we were learning how to play MaJong where his
cats lived and i started sneezing like crazy. Well after Ma Jong, we
played some video games, (to wind us down from thinking). Bary's
brother came home with some Fire works and so we went to a pond right
behind Bary's house and watched the fire works being lit up.
Surprisingly, I didn't get any mosqitoe bites.
On Sunday, we went to the mall, and it started off ok... you know, the
guys went into the store and came out... just like that, but then i had
to go check out Charlotte Russe and Forever 21... which basically took
me like an hour because each place had a sign saying buy one get one
free. Too bad I would find one friggin thing and can't find something
else I like. ehh... anyways...
I did get a skirt at H&M for 9.90. which was good. After the mall, we had a small bbq at Bary's house.

Justin, Doug, and Bary.
They were making the food while I sat back and relaxed

Now Doug Checking on the food... doesn't the food look good?

After a nice relaxing dinner, we played ma jong again.
Being the picture freek that I am, I wanted a group picture because the
last time I saw them I didn't get one. However, in this picture, I
wasn't quick enough to sit back in my seat so thats why i am standing.
Doug saids that he doesn't want his soul to be taken so thats why you
can't see him

haha.. this picture looks funny too... b/c it still caught us all off guard, but at least we had fun playing Ma Jong.
Later that night I had to take the bus home so I spent the actual
July 4th here in Boston. It was nice, I went shopping with my mom and
bought a lot of stuff. So all in all it was a good day.

| Today while working, a woman, who looked like in her late 30s early
40s, asked me if I could help her with finding some gold earrings and
so I did. She apparently liked the ones that I showed her because she
started going "OoOooO" and started taking it. I thought that she
was done and that she would go pay for it, but no, she started taking
the ones that was right next to it and took two pairs.
I asked her if she knew that there was two of the same thing and she
said "Yes, I want those." I didn't want to argue with a customer so I
go "Ok". She then started taking other pairs of earrings that were
gold. I assumed that she was done and wanted to pay for it but I was
wrong again. She started taking down more earrings that were gold and
taking either one pair of them or two pairs of them. As she was looking
at her selection, someone came in to look at the earrings in that area
and that woman, that i was helping goes, "I am David Ortiz's daughter,
and this key was given to me by the Major for my apartment."
The people just looked at her with a weird look and then continued in
their shopping. She asked me where the bracelets were and so I told her
that it was upstairs. (The jewerly store I work at is two floors. The
first floor is just earrings and the second floor is of necklace,
bracelets, rings, etc.) So she headed up stairs with almost 10-12 pairs
of earrings in her tray.
I wasn't there to witness it, but apparently she started taking off
bracelets just as crazily as she did with the earrings. When she took
it to the cash register, it came out to be a lil more then $1000 worht
of stuff she had and so she said that she wanted to charge with either
a Visa or Mastercard. She gives the cashier, Brian, a silverline
transit card (thats like the metro card of NY) and so I guess the Brian
rolls it through, I guess to humor her. Of course it didn't work so he
asked her if she had another card. She was yelling at him to try again.
He asked her for a Visa or a real credit card and she just told him
that she wanted to use that card. He didn't want to continue it
anymore so he just told her to leave because apparently she was a
little crazy.
She kept on saying that she wasn't going to leave until she got her
jewerly. Finally I guess she was just got really mad and so she decided
to give up and leave. As she was coming down the stairs she was saying
"you don't want my money then fine i will go else where, i have work
and i don't want to spend it here.... " and continued rambling. Brian
came downstairs just to make sure that she left and then showed what
would have been the reciept. And there she goes, "David Ortiz's
Daughter".
That was such a funny lady. I can't believe she had to make such a big scene. Maybe she was really crazy.
Anyways, I don't know if this was an interesting story or not, but I
figured I would write something to entertain those who are at work and
don't have anything else better to do. (Ex: Sammy) So hoped you enjoyed.
